What is 120HZ?
I'm sure you have heard alot of buzz, wondering what 120Hz is really about. What it really does is make motions on your TV look smoother by doubling the frames per second. I will be the first to tell you the extra $1000 for a 120Hz TV is most definitely not worth it. Unless you watch TV night and day and have perfect vision 120Hz is not for you. The difference between it and the standard 60Hz TV is so slight you really won't pick it up unless watching a demo with the two side by side. Even then it is very hard to tell. With 120Hz on you still get motion blur, even on the highest setting. Also when you turn the settings up on the 120Hz it makes your picture look unreal and somewhat cartoonish. But hey if you are a big TV enthusiast and have some extra money to waste go for 120Hz, other than that stick with a good 1080p TV with a good contrast ratio like a Sony or Samsung.
